Approval in principle marks milestone for offshore blue ammonia production
China Offshore Engineering & Technology and Malaysia-based MISC Berhad have secured approval in principle from American Bureau of Shipping for an ammonia floating production storage and offloading concept unveiled at Marintec 2025.
The approval covers an FPSO unit producing blue ammonia offshore, MISC said in a press release on 15 December.
